I attended our New England chapter of the International Furnishing and Design Association (IFDA) members dinner last evening. It’s a mix of designer and vendor members and all vendors showing their wares must offer items for a raffle. I always do really well at this raffle (last year I won a beautiful Kohler kitchen faucet and a large wall clock). This year, I won this beautiful handmade tote bag, which came filled with wine, wine glasses and a decorating book.
This beautiful bag was made by Devin Arbabi, who is a sales rep with Robert Allen/Beacon Hill fabrics. She’s a fantastic seamstress as well as an enthusiastic representative for their brand. This bag was made from fabrics from Robert Allen’s new line by well known designer Larry Laslo. I met Larry last month at an event at the Boston Design Center – he shared images of some of his fantastic work and insights into his design process. More to come on that!
Here the fabrics that Devin used to make this bag:
I’m so happy with my new bag – thanks Devin!

WOW!!! That is an absolutely gorgeous bag! Do you know if they are available for sale?
I know – all her stuff is gorgeous! And no, she doesn’t sell it. I need to encourage her to open an Etsy shop, at least!
Oh I think you should – and keep us posted! 😉
