I’ve spent the last week sorting and editing my pics from Maison et Objet. It was clear just walking through the show that we are still seeing lots of bling – from chandeliers and crystal to chrome and polished surfaces. Oversize accessories, interesting textures and elaborate fabrics are still going strong. While I saw some very beautiful things (and some duds) I can’t say I saw anything particularly “new” and unexpected at the show. But, I saw a lot of sparkle!
This post is all abut the bling. Let’s start the show!
The first stand by the door was none other than Spina (England), whom I’d blogged about just three weeks ago. Their trims and crystal lighting fixtures did not disappoint! Exquisite is the word. This spectacular piece above is Raindrops and Roses – with crystal drops and Wedgwood Roses.
This gentleman is the ultimate Tile Guy! From Italian tile company Sicis.
Fabrics and accessories from Nobilis (France). Their stand was fabulous – with upholstered vynal walls in rich shades of plum and iridescent gray.
Lots of glass, chrome and crystal was on hand at the Eichholtz (Netherlands) stand, evolking an old Hollywood glamour.
This tiny space was a for meeting and lunching – which is what was going on when I walked by. The oversize chandelier hung in a tiny booth was very eye catching. Although, the bottom of the chandelier is so low – they had to bend below it to speak across the table!
These white chandeliers from Guadarte (Spain) were eye catching!
This fantastic floor lamp looked a bit like a big white bird swooping in from another zip code. From Swala (Spain).
Black and bling was the style-du-jour for this space from Guadarte, Spain.
So, what do you think? Enough sparkle to light up a city block??
