Last month, I introduced to you Lori Dolnick as a new contributing writer to ::Surroundings::.
This month, I am thrilled to welcome Janet M. Perry as a contributing writer. Janet has a passion for color and design. The daughter of an artist, she has been training her eye since childhood. Today she delights in creating needle art, designing home interiors, and creating exciting environments for living both inside and out which reflect her love of vintage style, especially that of the Arts & Crafts period.
She is best known for her work as a needlepoint author, designer, and teacher, having written two books on needlepoint, and designed needlepoint stitch guides for many of the best-known canvas designers. Her innovative approach to needlepoint and her adaptation of many kinds of design to needlework has made her known world-wide.
Currently she lives in Napa Valley with her husband, kids, and cats. Soon she hopes to be moving to historic Mare Island, where they will be renovating a home with a view of the Wetlands. Her adventures in this process will be a part of this blog.
Welcome Janet! Stay tuned for Janet’s first post on how to get the look of a high end kitchen for less!
