1,000 Thank You’s! It’s my 1,000th Post!

This is my 1,000th blog post. That’s a whole lotta words and photos! My first post is dated January 27th, 2005 and was a rehash of a series of decorating tips I’d written. When I decided to start the blog, I really had no idea what I was doing. I decided it made a good electronic “filing cabinet” of ideas and products I wanted to keep track of. I also thought it was a good way to keep alive several articles I’d written for my quarterly company newsletter.

One of my favorite posts from Year 1 (I only wrote 34 posts that whole first year!) was called Consumer Culture Wars. There are no photos, just thoughts. It’s pretty good, if I say so myself! Makes me think that I need to do more of that kind of “idea” post in the future. (Note to Domino Magazine – sorry for the dis!)

  1. Wow, Linda! I was already impressed that you reached your 1,000th post, and then I read about everything you’ve written about, the things you’ve accomplished, and the connections you’ve made through your blog during this time, and I was blown away. You are a blogging superstar! I’m sorry I didn’t find you sooner (I think I came over from Cote de Texas this summer?).

Congratulations! And here’s to many more years of blogging success. We’ll be reading! 🙂

  2. Linda, congrats on 1000! That's so great & I'm happy to have found you recently. Thanks for adding my humble blog to your blogroll too. BTW, in case you didn't know, the Washington Post article on e-design featuring you and others was also printed in our local Birmingham paper a few weeks ago. I had read the article, then came across your blog & remembered I had seen you in the article. So glad I did!

Love that decoupage tile project you did. I've seen that before on a couple of blogs too (can't remember who?) and I think I'll have to try that one. Looks great!

  3. Julia and Rhonda – thanks! I am always amazed at how wide ranging all the blogs are – everyone has their own unique point of view and areas of interest. I enjoy both your blogs tremendously and have enjoyed getting to know you too!!

  4. I remember the night you told me you were going to create a blog. We were on our way home from a networking event from Boston and you said “What do you think would happen if I started a blog?”

Little did I know that you would take this little blog international, that you would interview the famous and the beautiful, that you would achieve world-wide acclaim and that you didn’t lose your mind in the process.

Yeah for Linda! I’m proud to be your friend. (And we really should post more to the Master of Your Domain blog. I’ll get on that soon.)
