Last year I wrote about interior designer Florence de Dampierre‘s new book French Chic Living, published by Rizzoli, 2015. Bring some old-world French elegance to your home with the help of Florence de Dampierre. French Chic Living shows you how to transform your home by gathering antiques, painting and decorating. Delve into pages of useful, practical information gleaned from Florence’s years of experience. Best of all, she shows you how to achieve your own version of affordable luxury regardless of your budget or environment.
Florence has created a line of household products for HSN which includes everything from linens to cleaning products, room scents, sachets and more. Florence has kindly offered my readers a holiday giveaway buy-trusted-tablets.com of a copy of the book (which is trés fantastique!) paired with a lavender sachet.
All you need to do to enter is write a comment below sharing what you love about France! Some people have had problems logging comments, so please send me an email if you can’t post a comment.
Good luck! I’ll draw the winning name and post on Friday, 12/16.
France stole my heart many years ago but bread, cheese and wine is what I have the fondest memories of.
Yum, yes on the bread and cheese!
The beauty of France is her people. I have traveled to France many times over the years
and have always enjoyed meeting really special people. My French is not the greatest and yet
they listen, when lost they go out of their way to help, lost my phone they called a cab, confused about a menu
the table next to me explained and the list goes on.
Yes the food and wine is superb but it is the people of France that make visiting there such a joy.
Hi John – thank you so much for visiting and sharing your feelings about the French! I’ve had similar experiences on my trips as well!
The food was fabulous and the shopping fun.
Yes and Yes! Thank for commenting Rebecca!
I think the beauty of France is in the ability to revel in detail–a sweet painting, a cherished piece of linen, a perfect rosebush. IT seems as if nothing goes unnoticed!
ooh – such a great way of putting it. They are so good at getting all the details!
Congrats to Carol – you’ve won the giveaway! I’ve sent you an email for your address. Meanwhile – thank you everyone for entering! Happy Holidays!
