I’m excited as one of my favorite annual events is happening this week – The Newburyport Kitchen Tour 2019!
Here are some of my pics from prior year’s tours. You can read all my posts of previous tours here. The fun thing about this tour is that we’re treated to not just kitchens, but often the rest of the first floor of these homes, plus some gorgeous yards and gardens.
Sneak peek a little Newburyport Kitchen Tour 2019 Preview

I love the warmth that the natural wood island adds to the kitchen. All white kitchens can be stunning, but the added texture of the wood grounds the space beautifully.

This bathroom (above) and kitchen (below) are from Timberline Home. The bathroom features two big beautiful vanity spaces flanking a gas fireplace which doubles as a fireplace in the master bedroom.

Features of this year’s tour include:
1. Expanded tour to include homes in Newbury, Newburyport and Point Shore of Amesbury for a true flavor of the Greater Newburyport area.
2. Beer tastings by The Newburyport Brewing Co. on a luxurious patio of a newly built shingle-style home
3. Delicious sweets and savories from local restaurants, bakers and chefs offering their specialties (Loretta Restaurant’s Tuna Tartare w sesame on crispy wontons, Cranberry Chicken Salad Sliders from Crave, mini strawberry shortcakes from Brick and Ash, and more!)
The Newburyport Kitchen Tour 2019 is presented by the Newburyport PTO. For this event, the whole region comes together to tour and celebrate talents, students and community. More than 100 volunteers and donors are working hard to make this unique experience happen! Buy tickets here!
I’ll be there and I hope to see you there as well. If you’re not local, I’ll be posting my favorite kitchens in the coming weeks!
Hello Linda, I am looking forward to your coverage of the kitchens. I hope there is some common sense leading away from the more extreme kitchens we have been seeing lately. The ones you have chosen for this post are some of the nicest I have encountered lately–bright and comfortable without getting too extreme or out of scale.
