How To Brighten Up Those Gray Walls

One of my most popular blog posts ever was my comparison of Benjamin Moore’s Color Of the Year 2019 Metropolitan Gray vs. Metro Gray. As we all know, the color gray has been the popular “go-to” color for the last few of years. There are beautiful shades of gray and rooms that are soft and soothing in this palette. But, as we in the northern hemisphere move into the spring season, don’t you just want to brighten up those gray walls?

It doesn’t take a whole new paint job to brighten up a space. Well chosen accessories, rugs and textiles will make such a huge difference. Whether you inject a bright and colorful collection of accessories or keep with a softer, more soothing palette – just the addition of some more color will turn a space from bland to beautiful. I’ve pulled together some ideas based on the the Metropolitan and Metro Gray paint colors because they’ve been so popular these last few years.
