How are you doing? One week feels like twenty, doesn’t it? I personally find it difficult to concentrate and focus on tasks I can be doing and completing while staying at home and I know others feel the same way. Sometimes, a little easy entertainment is best. I’ve put together a list of links to creative and educational offerings from museums, zoos and more to help keep the mind and soul occupied.

Lots of professional musicians have been performing “living room” concerts on their various social media channels. From John Legend and Chris Martin to YoYo Ma and Anne-Sophie Mutter (who sadly was just diagnosed with the virus). A favorite of mine is Mary Chapin Carpenter who sings in her cute kitchen with her amazing golden retriever Angus sitting loyally at her feet. Check out YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for your favorite performer – they’ve probably shared something. Music students from the Boston Conservatory of Music at Berklee put together this virtual performance with over 70 singers, instrumentalists and dancers.
In my next post, I will be offering some ideas and tips on re-decorating your house with what you already own. It’s always a great exercise in looking at what we live with every day with fresh eyes. I will also be offering a giveaway of an hour of my time to help three readers make some quick decisions for changes you can make now while spending so much time at home. We’ll do our consultation via Facetime, Zoom or some other method that makes the most sense. So, stay tuned for that. And here’s a link to my last post on favorite movies with great set decoration.
I’d love to hear what you’re doing to pass the time, keep sane and maybe even the first thing you’re going to do when life starts to return to normal. I can say that I plan on hugging everyone I run across – even if I don’t know you!
So many options, thank you for all of these great ideas! Now to decide what to do first.
What a fabulous roundup, Linda. I’ll be sharing this with many of my friends and family!
Thanks for the great tips! Love the resources.
What a great list! I have been taking a bunch of online classes and really enjoying it, although losing track of time seems to be getting more common for me. Celebrating the end with lots of hugs sounds like a great idea!
This is such a terrific collection of resources, Linda! Pinning for reference! I am also a hugger – it will be such a relief to be able to greet friends that way again…and to see them IRL!
Cool to know Linda that you could take in a play on line which I will definitely check out. I also love your idea of taking online courses. The world is our oyster!
