And just like that, it’s the weekend! In this week’s edition of The Saturday List, we go big and travel out to visit the Pasadena Showcase House, we go tiny and visit with some doll houses and travel to the Continent with the release of the new Downton Abbey: A New Era. Enjoy!
The famed Pasadena Showcase House of Design 2022 is currently happening in California – as a matter of fact, this is the last weekend. My friend Carla Aston and posts here and here from her visit to the house. And I encourage you to check out design colleague Jeanne K. Chung of cozy • stylish • chic’s spectacular kitchen! Often times shophouse kitchens are a bit of smoke and mirrors – not quite working spaces but more for show. Not this one!
I’ve always harbored a desire to build and decorate a dolls house. But then I contemplate the amount of work and craftsmanship (not to mention cash) this hobby would take I put the desire back on the shelf. But I do enjoy looking at them! I just ran across Melody Jane Dolls’ Houses IG feed which showcases the work of many doll house artists. Amazing workmanship!

Hi Linda ~ I really enjoyed those dollhouses. I used to have an absolute obsession with tiny dollhouse furniture when I was a pre-teen, but I never had a dollhouse. I loved seeing that IG feed!
