I’m pleased to share that I was interviewed for two stories in the newest issue of Coastal Home Life Magazine! One on kitchen design trends for 2023 and the other on fall decor ideas.
The first article is on kitchen trends for 2023. (Click here to read)
And the second is a timely piece on fall decor which features an image from my Colorful Cape Cod project. (Click here to read)
Thanks to Google Alerts (basically a clipping service) – I was notified that I was quoted in this article on House Digest on hiring a professional decorator. My quote was taken from an article I posted here a few years ago.
I’ve been glued to the coverage of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing and preparations for her funeral. My mother adored the Queen, so I’ve been missing my Mom a lot over the last week or so. The newly minted King Charles III has been hopping all across the British aisles as he ascends the throne while mourning his mom. I happened to catch his and Camilla’s visit to Hillsborough Castle, Belfast, Northern Ireland where he was “sworn in” (not sure what it’s called) as king.
The event took place in the Throne Room (fittingly) and I was so taken with the classic decor and amazing emerald green damask walls and windows.
The damask was woven by Humphries Weaving.
The throne room was renovated a few years ago, here’s a great time-lapse video.
My friend Janet Lorusso of JRL Interiors has a post on fall decor inspired centerpieces which you can read here.
Speaking of fall decor ideas, I’ve got to re-do my mantle for the season! This from last year featuring an Hermès scarf in oranges and browns, its box (mais oui!), a small painting by artist Pamela Copeman, large pine cones and a bronze scroll metalwork screen.

Thanks for the shout out, Linda. And what a fascinating look at the throne room renovation! I finally got fall to my front door entry – now I need to tackle the interior!
My pleasure Janet!
Congrats Linda! Your Cape Cod project is an inspiration to us all. Your mom will finally get to meet the Queen. I’m sure they are having tea together in someplace lovely. Hugs, Mary Beth
Thanks Mary Beth – My mother would be speechless if she met the Queen, even in the hereafter!
